Miss A worked with me to create some steaming images of her gorgeous self — not only her hubby, but most importantly herself. This was Miss A's first boudoir shoot and she rocked it as she was fully prepared by following my preparation list and completing the pre-shoot survey. I was in love with the outfits Miss A brought to her shoot especially all the bodysuits... did I say I love bodysuits. SO make sure to bring a couple to your shoot.
She also brought her bridal dupatta /scarf to incorporate into her shoot and I'm in love how the images turned out. To finish the shoot I always recommend something playful, a white blouse or white sheets. Miss A opted for a white blouse from my boudoir closet. You are always welcome to use items from my boudoir closet during your shoot. I have a variety of scarfs, lace robes, lace blouses and sheer ballet skirts.
Ladies bring anything that makes you feel and look sexy and don't forget to bring your vail / dupatta if you're doing a bridal session. This is about you and your authentic personality, not about being someone you aren’t.
"I would highly recommend Alomia Photography, the owner Iwona has a way with her clients, she is honest, fun and very personable, she provides a comfortable space and is very knowledgeable. She uses all natural lighting, I did my own makeup and hair which worked for professional images, I don't wear much makeup. Excited to see the images, the sneak peak I got was amazing, I feel more comfortable in my skin and more confident. Would absolutely do it again with Iwona."
- Miss A
48h after the shoot, upon delivery of a little sneak peek I always ask my clients to fill out my post-shoot survey. The feedback helps me to not only improve myself as a photographer, but also make sure that my lovely customers are 100% satisfied with their sessions!
Here is what Miss A had to say:
What made you decide to book your boudoir session with ALOMIA instead of another studio?
Iwona is so personable and honest.
How were you feeling before your shoot? Any thoughts going through your mind?
Before my shoot I was very nervous. I am not confident and not happy with how my body looks, I thought my pictures would be horrible.
What was your favourite thing about your photo shoot experience?
Relax, have fun, go with the flow and take lots of options for clothing or lack there of.
What would you tell other ladies who are considering doing a boudoir shoot?
Getting out of my comfort zone and "making love to the camera."
What is the best memory from your photo shoot day?
II felt great after my shoot, excited to see the images. Nothing was missed!
Boudoir photography is about getting to know yourself and your body. It's about understanding the power of your sexuality as you make the realization that you shouldn't be afraid to express yourself in any way that you feel. Breaking the chains of conformity by going against presumed expectations placed on you by what society deems taboo is extremely rewarding and empowering! It's important to follow your desires and develop an individualistic approach to all things important to you.
Most women who book a shoot with me feel nervous, unprepared, scared or just plain not ready for many reasons. But you know what... they did it because they knew deep down they deserved this, and in some ways needed it. And what I hear over and over is that as soon as they stepped into my studio all the worries disappear, knowing it will be an awesome day for them. A new chapter of confidence and celebrating who they are right now, not next week but now!
My job is to make sure you look your best in all of your photos. So just be yourself and follow my directions while we are shooting and I will capture some truly beautiful moments!
With Miss A's express permission I am sharing some of my favorite photos from her boudoir shoot!
